House Clover, a guest house in Male, has joined the cause and become the Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme's logistical sponsor in the capital Male.

The MWSRP's December field trip period kicked off with a visit to Qatar after being invited to present the MWSRP's findings to the Qatar Natural History Group:
