The tagging project is proving very successful. The team retrieved eighty percent of the archival tags before June 19th 2009 and now the satellite tags are releasing on time providing the team with some of the shark's 'migratory' paths. This new information will lead to a better understanding of the shark's behaviours and could eventually lead to further protection being implemented.
