The Whale Shark Monitoring Network joined forces again in an effort to retrieve the tag. It was later discovered that a young boy retrieved the tag when it floated onto the beach at Mulah Island.
The questions;
Why did the tag release?
Did the shark dive to the tag's depth limit?
Did the shark remain at a constant depth triggering the other self preservation device?
Was the tag or the shark attacked by a predator or even removed by a human?
When the data is analyzed some of the questions may be answered.....
