MWSRP team update from Hanifaru

After a week working in and around Hanifaru, Baa Atoll, the team - Adam Harman (MWSRP) and Dr Brent Stewart (Hubbs SeaWorld Research Institute) working alongside Guy Stevens and Rory Moore (Manta Ray Project) - have encountered six sharks. They have managed to tag four of the individuals.

Maybe the latest whale shark tag and release project will also be the most succesfull!?!
The MWSRP team deployed 20 tags in April and May 2009 and have now recovered data from 16 of them. The team also hopes to recover the remaining four later this month in Baa Atoll.
