The Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme exists through generous donations and sponsorship from a number of private donors. The MWSRP is now registered for gift aid = if you donate, the UK Government will add 28% to your donation. (You may be able to reclaim some tax yourself.)

Volunteer

Join the Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme team in the Maldives and enjoy free-diving with this vulnerable species of sharks. Carry out every aspect of the research involved including swimming, photographing, and measuring the whale sharks, taking part in community workshops, guest trips and presentations as well as updating the MWSRP database of 130 whale sharks Find out more on our volunteer page.
